We started last weekend off by celebrating the guys birthdays. Since all three of them fall in the months of September and October, we have one big birthday celebration dinner. We kinda splurge a bit and go to Ruth's and just pig out.

Here are the 3 birthday boys

Toby and Amy

And of course, Walter and Judy. We had a great time. We ate too much but we also did a lot of laughing, talking and enjoying being together. We are truly blessed with a wonderful family.
The next morning Amy and I went to the Rabalais Run for Life. This was fundraiser for the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, a very worthy cause. Amy was participating for her friend, Smith, who has had a liver transplant, and I was participating for my sister in law, Barbara, who has undergone a heart transplant. This was our first experience at a 5k...but, let me be clear, we were not running, we're walking! I was a bit concerned as to whether or not we could finish the race, but there was no issue at all. In fact, we walked the 3.10 miles in 52.21 minutes. We were right in the middle of the pack...not too shabby for a 57 year old and her daughter in law. It was really a lot of fun, I enjoyed the time with Amy and the whole celebratory atmosphere was up lifting. I think I might want to do a couple of these a year...we'll see.

The kids came over Sunday night for our family dinner and we enjoyed playing around outside with Evie and Kelley. They are such a hoot, and always keep us on our toes.

Yes, she is holding a golf club..one of her favorites

I may as well add in a couple of pictures of the kids that I snapped last night. We went to the mall and happened upon a hat display...the kids enjoyed trying them on...

It was so much fun...like I said, we have been so busy...good to be busy...
