It's been a busy few days around our house. This week I had a visit from my dear friend Lea (who lives in Little Rock and is a hog fan...but we will forgive her for that at least until football season,) Evie had her 3rd birthday and Kelley Patrick had his second eye surgery. Lea and I had our usual shop till you drop day on Wednesday and then entertained Evie on Thursday night. Evie spent the night with us so Toby and Amy could get Kelley to the hospital for his surgery early on Friday morning. Friday was Evie's birthday so we made cupcakes for her to take to her party at school. Lea, Evie and I had a ball!!! We had Evie mixing, pouring, scooping, icing...and of course tasting. We managed to produce a nice batch of princess cupcakes for our princess to take to her party at school.

On a final note...Kelley's surgery went very well. He was in and out in short order and when we saw him that night he was his happy, playful self. Praise the Lord!! We are so blessed!!
