Walter and I are very blessed in that we have our entire immediate family with us in Baton Rouge. Both of our sons, P.J. and Toby, our daughter-in-law, Amy, and of course the beautiful grandchildren, Evie and Kelley are only a few minutes away. I have met so many friends and acquaintances around town who tell me that their grandchildren live miles, hours, and sadly, even continents away. Or, that they don't have a good relationship with their kids and never see their grandchildren..which must be the saddest thing to endure. So, we take advantage of having them here by having a Friday night sleepover with the grandkids. We pick them up at school...we love it when Evie comes running up to us..we head out to do something fun and then back to our house for pizza night and lots of playtime. This week we stopped at the mall so the kids could ride the carousel, play in the playground and drive the "Hot Dog Truck."

Evie chose the pink horse

Kelley at the playground..by the way, don't his eyes look awesome

Kelley can really turn that wheel...watch out when he turns 16!!

Would you like fries with that??
The kids wore us out, but it was the best kind of tired that there is. We are already looking forward to next Friday night!!
