The last three weeks have been incredibly busy and even a bit stressful. I took a trip to Little Rock for a visit,then flew to Chicago to spend the weekend with Walter and the next week my sister had major surgery. Jeanie (little sister) is doing exceptionally well after having a very large mass removed from her abdomen and we are so thankful that we can report that she is cancer free!! YIPPEE!!!
In all of the business and hubbub of the last weeks Evie, Kelley and I managed to squeeze in our first trip to the local library as a threesome. I have to admit that I was a bit worried about the logistics of it all...you know...getting the kids safely in and out of the car...setting up and then collapsing the stroller...diaper bag, purse, books...whew...I'm exhausted!! Of course my worries were baseless because I have been blessed with the two sweetest grandchildren ever. Our precious Kelley slept the entire time and Evie was thrilled to show him off to the librarians. There weren't many kids there that day so Evie had the place to herself. She proceeded to set up her own story time by lining up the rockers and filling them with Sugar Bear, Clifford and Puppy Dog. She found her own books and even talked the librarian (Ms. Lauren) into singing songs with her. What a hoot!! These two kids are the greatest!!!
