Since Kelley's birth, Evie has been focused on playing with her "babies." These babies consist of a couple of dolls (Baby girl and Sally), various stuffed animals..dogs, bears, an elephant, and some stacking dolls from Bulgaria. Evie loves to role play with them. She takes them to the doctor (they always come back with a sucker); she takes them to the mall to ride the carousel and today she took them to the beach. It is so much fun to see her decide who will get to go, who will stay home and what snack she will give them when they get there. She hugs them, kisses them and talks to each one of them. Today, Evie applied pretend sunscreen to each baby and gave them a snack of popcorn, tuna and milk (YUK) and then promptly threw them into the pretend pool. What a hoot she is!!
In the picture Evie is laying on a beach towel surrounded by her babies and if you look closely you will observe that she is wearing a Clemson t-shirt. Yes...a Clemson shirt. The ranks of the LSU faithful have been infiltrated by a Clemson fan. Chrissie Segars (Uncle P.J.'s friend) returned from South Carolina and brought this cute shirt for Evie and of course some delicious peaches for the rest of us. Thanks Chrissie!!
This long overdue blog post cannot be closed without mentioning our precious Kelley. He is recovering nicely from his surgery and is full steam ahead. Kelley smiled and cooed for Papaw and me today which of course made our day. He has settled into a nice routine when he is here and we are looking forward to many fun days of play with him too. We love being the grandparents of these two babies!!
