We are finally having a beautiful weather day today. The weather this winter has been horrendous. There is simply no reason why the local weather man should be uttering the words "wintry mix" more than once a year when you live this far south. Friday afternoon was another of those cold blustery days that we have seen so often this winter. However, we decided to make the most of it and ventured out to take Evie to the playground at the mall. Evie loves to go to the mall...which, of course, bodes well for the future...and she hit the playground in typical Evie fashion. Full steam ahead!! She squealed with delight when she spotted the slide and made a bee line to conquer it. After a few slides she realized that there was no one else in the playground to play with and coaxed her Papaw onto the slide with her. What a sight to see the two of them sliding together. I saw pure joy on both of their faces. Isn't that the way it should be? We are so blessed and thankful that we can be a part of Evie's life and look so forward to Kelley joining us in the future. So, next time the weather man says "wintry mix" head to the playground at the mall. It will warm your heart as well as your body.
